| Farrah Leni Fawcett was born February 2, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was of French, English and Choctaw Native American ancestry.
Her first TV series appearance was a guest spot on I Dream of Jeannie in the 1968-69 season. She went on to have small parts in several other TV series. She rose to
international fame when she first appeared as private investigator Jill Munroe in the TV series Charlie's Angels in 1976. She went on to act in a series of dramatic roles in
films, including The Burning Bed for which she got her first of four Emmy Award nominations. On June 25, 2009 she died of cancer Santa Monica, California at the age of 62.
