Ava Lavinia Gardner was born Dec. 22, 1922 in Brogden, North Carolina. Ava acted in minor roles in the early 1940s until 1946 when she became one of Hollywood's leading actresses. She continued to play in prominent roles through the 1950s after which her roles became secondary. Ava died Jan 25, 1990 in London, England.   Rita Hayworth (born Margarita Carmen Cansino) was born on Oct. 17, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York. Rita acted in some minor roles in the late 1930s. By 1940, she started taking lead actress roles. During the early 1940s, Rita also became one of the two famous pin-up girls (Betty Grabel being the other) for Americans serving in WWII. Rita continued to act in the 1950s through to 1972 but her roles tended to be secondary after the 1940s. Rita died on May 14, 1987 in New York City.
